Trichology by definition is the scientific study of the hair and the scalp.  Trichology is the branch of Dermatology.  Trichology is a paramedical discipline, it encompasses the study of the conditions, disorders and diseases of the human hair and scalp, as well as the assessment of the causes and treatment of the condition, disorder and diseases of the scalp and hair, including hair loss.
